Safety

A guided learning space built for schoolwork — not random scrolling.

Parents hand a child a phone with one worry: what else is on it? Here is exactly how Kitabu keeps the experience about learning.

A guided space, by design

Kitabu is a guided, age-appropriate learning space. Conversations are about schoolwork — explanations, practice, quizzes, and revision. There is no open browsing, no social feed, and no stranger contact. The games and streaks inside Kitabu are the revision, not a distraction from it.

Parents stay in charge

  • We ask for parent consent for learners under 18 before an account is used.
  • Parents can see what their child studied, for how long, and what improved — every day.
  • You can cancel anytime, and you can request account deletion whenever you choose.

Your family’s data

  • We comply with the Kenya Data Protection Act.
  • We practise data minimisation: we collect only the information needed for learning and progress reporting.
  • We never sell personal data. See our privacy policy for the full detail.

Honest limits

No digital space can promise perfection, and we won’t pretend otherwise. What we promise is a space built for schoolwork, active guardrails, parent visibility, and a team that treats every safety report as urgent. Write to hello@kitabu.ai and a human will respond.

Learning your family can trust.
