About

Mwalimu wa nyumbani — built in Kenya.

Kitabu AI gives your child a patient personal teacher at home — and gives you a window into how they’re really doing, before the report card arrives.

What Kitabu AI is

Kitabu AI is a personal tutor app for Kenyan learners in Grades 4–10. It explains step by step, in English or Kiswahili, following the CBC (CBE) syllabus. Learners can ask anything, any time, as many times as they need — no judgment, no rushing.

Parents get a daily dashboard and a simple Friday WhatsApp message showing what their child studied, what improved, and where they’re stuck. Teachers get less routine marking and a clear picture of who needs help. Schools get structured after-school revision support for their day scholars.

What we believe

Every child deserves a teacher who never gets tired of explaining. One teacher with 50 children cannot give every child the second, patient explanation they sometimes need — and no parent should discover a problem for the first time on a report card. Kitabu exists to close both gaps.
